I thought this while I was driving away from Rancho San Antonio, where Lisa and I hiked for two hours. I felt great through most of it, and my legs didn't get tired until the last 20 minutes or so. We talked the whole time, which made the uphill sections a breeze rather than a wheezer that I was expecting. Today the hills are very green and lush and the sky is sunny, clear, and blue with some puffy clouds and there's hardly any wind. I'm a very lucky girl to live in such a beautiful place and to be able to enjoy it with such an awesome girlfriend.
Since I published this blog yesterday, I received some emails with thoughtful advice and encouraging words, emails that remind me how truly fortunate I am.

I love your new blog! This is great!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree the hike was perfect. when I got home I had to sit outside for a while 'cause I couldn't stand to be indoors after such a terrific hike.
We are very lucky indeed.
So, tomorrow it's a morning gym run for me. Will keep you informed :)
